South East Forum Conference
On the 10th March the South East Forum held a conference on 'The Changing Landscape - Joint challenges in the context of Curriculum for Excellence & 16 + Learning Choices'
The event was held at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange with 60 delegates from schools, colleges, universities, Skills Development Scotland and local authorities attending the event.

The purpose of the conference was to share the changes in our work with schools to a focus on HE and put some of the current changes around Curriculum for Excellence and 16+ Learning Choices into context and look at, what this means for the young people that we support; explore how can we work in partnership, share knowledge, align our work and how we can add value to what is being delivered?

- Jim Gallacher (SFC)- The role of the Scottish Funding Council and the wider access forums in improving opportunities for young people.
- Peter Connelly (HMIe) - Improving outcomes for young people through effective partnership working.
- David Leitch (The Scottish Youth Parliament) - Speak up - The role of the learner voice.
- Tom Snow & Bryan Campbell (Learning & Teaching Scotland) - 16 + Learning Choices.
- Malcolm Barron (Skills Development Scotland) - The focus and priorities of Skills Development Scotland.
Workshops took place in the afternoon on the following topics where groups were asked to consider actions that the South East Forum could take forward, actions for the sector or actions for any individuals.
