National Framework
The South East Forum is one of 4 Wider Access Forums funded by the Scottish Funding Council (SFC). The Forums work closely with the Scottish Funding Council and the Access and Inclusion Committee.
The Scottish Funding Council
'Learning For All' (2005) is the Scottish Funding Council's strategy for widening participation to further and higher education. The four wider access regional forums are a major part of this programme of work, with approx. £2.9 million provided annually.
The Forums report to the Access and Inclusion Committee that has been set the challenge by the Scottish Funding Council to oversee a programme of work to deliver to the access, inclusion and progression objectives set out in the SFC’s most recent Corporate Plan (Outcome 2).
Working Together
The 4 Forums and the Scottish Funding Council work closely together to deliver a “co-ordinated and effective national programme” with aligned outcomes and reporting arrangements.
