Working with Adults
‘Learning For All' (2005) states that "second chances' will remain crucial." It identifies promotion of access courses and routes into further and higher education as areas for the wider access regional forums to contribute as well as providing support at transitions.
Access to Industry and SWAP-East currently help deliver our programme of work in the South East:
- targeted at adults from deprived areas with low participation rates in FE and HE
- to raise aspirations
- to increase attainment
- to promote progression to college or university and through FE/HE articulation routes
- promote retention
- empower learners and their families by providing information, advice and guidance.
The South East Forum is supported in delivering these programmes by the Adults and Communities Strategic Advisory Group.
